Details
Scott Juceam and Roni Deutch are brother sister and have and are working together to rip off people but if Juceam or Deutch ripped you off heres some info on what to do: On August 7, 2015, the Sacramento Superior Court entered a civil judgment against Roni Lynn Deutch, the so-called “Tax Lady.” Ms. Deutch operated a law firm – Roni Deutch, A Professional Tax Corporation – which promised to assist taxpayers with the resolution of their IRS tax debt. The Attorney General sued Ms. Deutch and her firm in 2010, alleging that they had engaged in unlawful and deceptive behavior, including promising potential clients relief that the firm and Ms. Deutch never secured, and improperly billing clients for unnecessary legal work. The judgment requires Ms. Deutch to pay $50,000 in civil penalties and $2,450,000 in restitution to victims. The judgment also includes a permanent injunction that prohibits Ms. Deutch from engaging in the misconduct that prompted the Attorney General’s lawsuit. A separate order also requires Ms. Deutch to perform 350 hours of service in resolution of a contempt proceeding. In March of 2014 a default judgment was entered against Ms. Deutch’s law firm requiring it to pay $20,275,000 in civil penalties and $33,945,000 in restitution to former clients. The law firm has since closed. The Court’s orders do not resolve State Bar's disciplinary action against Ms. Deutch. Although Ms. Deutch and her law firm have been ordered to pay restitution to former customers, as of yet no funds have been collected for that purpose. However, former clients may write to the Attorney General’s Public Inquiry Unit at Attorney General’s Office, Attn: Public Inquiry Unit, P.O. Box 944255, Sacramento, CA 94244-2550, or fill out a form at http://oag.ca.gov/contact/consumer-complaint-against-business-or-company. If funds are ever collected for restitution, eligible former customers will be contacted. Finally, former clients of Ms. Deutch may be eligible for compensation from the State Bar Client Security Fund, which may be contacted at: STATE BAR OF CALIFORNIA Client Security Fund 845 South Figueroa Street Los Angeles, CA 90017-2515 (213) 765-1140

Ripped off by Roni Deutch and Juceam Group

Just discovered we were ripped off by Roni Deutch for $1460 for services not rendered. I called Roni Deutch to help me with my 2010 taxes. Because of events out of my control I owed about $15000.00 in Federal and State taxes. The gentlemen I talked to said they would be able to help.Because of my hardship they would be able to file for a comprimise on my behalf. They said it would cost $1700 and i would have to give them $500 retainer fee over the phone. I did that with my debit card but did not give them permission to access my acct. after that. They said they would handle everything and if they needed anything they would call. I never heard from them again. Starting the next month $240 was taken out of my acct. and paid to Roni Deutch. I figured they were working on my case. After a couple of months I called to find out the status of my case but no one would return my calls. Then I got a letter from the Juceam Group pertaining to my case. I called their number asking who they were. All they said was they were handling my case now but never discussed the status of the case with me. I found out today The owner of the Juceam Group is Roni Deutchs brother. They sent me paperwork to fill out and I did three seperate times. the same paperwork. They said they weren't receiving it. Another lie. After another couple of months went by I called to see what was going on and again no call back. I knew something was up and today I found out, I was scammed. I called the IRS to see what was going on and they said they had no paperwork from Roni Deutch or the Juceam Group pertaining to any tax case for me. I also found out that I could of just called them and they would have done the same thing I was promised from Roni Deutch. So please beware of The Juceam Group they are crooks. I called the Calif. Atty general to file a claim. I hope they get what they deserve.

Roni Deutch took my $4000, and did nothing

My husband and I hired Roni Deutch to help us with our large sum owed on our back taxes. We were told what was going on. So we thought. We are getting correspondence, saying IRS is going to enforce a levy. We were told we were in a "Not Collectible Status". Guess not!We made many calls to them, and spoke to _DANEL LYNCH_., and Myrna in finance. Just so many people telling so many lies. Don't know what to do now...except write to the IRS myself, and see what I can get accompolshed. How can we tell who is honest?

Roni deutch

I called Roni Deutch and was told that once i gave them my finacial to see if I qualified they would be able to discharge my IRS debt which I did qualify at the time and I was told before they could go forward I I needed to pay 500.00 which I did plus 181.25 every month since....they have not done anything except send a whole lot of paper work and try to tell me that I gave them different information, so now after they have robbed me of 1225.00. Roni Deutch in San Francisco, California - Ronnie Duetch Sued once...now twice

The New York City Department of Consumer Affairs (DCA) has brought a lawsuit charging Deutch with misleading advertisements that allegedly fail to include key eligibility requirements in order to resolve back taxes with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) under its Offer in Compromise program. The Offer in Compromise program enables taxpayers to resolve debts by entering into an agreement with the IRS for reduced payments, in which a majority of people do not qualify – a fact allegedly not evident in the Deutch advert. In 2006, she agreed to pay $300,000 to settle the lawsuit for deceptive advertising practices. A total of $200,000 was apportioned to affected victims of her deceptive practices, and $100,000 in fines.[13] On August 23, 2010, the office of the Attorney General of California announced that it would be filing a $34 million lawsuit against Deutch for allegedly "orchestrating a 'heartless scheme' that swindled thousands of people facing serious and expensive tax collection problems with the IRS."[14][15][16][17] Roni Deutch responded to the charges by stating California Attorney General Jerry Brown is "engaging in election year politics" (Brown is running for governor in the November 2010 election) and that she intends to fight the lawsuit.[18]

Roni Deutch in San Francisco, California - SCAM...Ronnie Duetch Tax Lady

Roni Deutch, television's "Tax Lady," was sued Monday for perpetrating a"heartless scheme" that swindled thousands of people across the nation into paying huge fees to stop the IRS from collecting back taxes. "Tax Lady Roni Deutch…promises to significantly reduce [client's] IRS tax debts, but instead preys on their vulnerability, taking large up-front payments but providing little or no help in lowering their tax bills," said California Attorney General Jerry Brown when announcing the suit. Brown is attempting to permanently stop Deutch's allegedly misleading advertisements and force her to pay $34 million in restitution to thousands of former clients. Deutch failed to return phone calls prior to press time. Brown says that Deutch "manufactures credibility" by spending $3 million annually on late-night television ads and by offering tax advice on credible news shows, such as NBC's Today Show, CNN, CNBC and FoxNews. She also claims, in an advertisement titled "It's Your Turn," to have "saved" numerous clients from having to pay thousands to the IRS. But the Attorney General says that all three clients in this advertisement still owe the IRS the full amount of their tax bills, plus interest and penalties. In reality Deutch put these clients on "currently not collectible" status with the IRS. That's what Brown's office refers to as "tax collection purgatory" because the government stops trying to collect but continues to accrue fines and interest. Hundreds of Deutch's clients have complained to the attorney general's office and other agencies, Brown said in a news release. Web sites proclaiming that Deutch's services are a scam are almost as ubiquitous as her advertisements, showing up at the Complaints Board, PissedConsumer and Rip-Off Report. Jennifer Geronimo, a San Francisco small business owner, counts herself among Deutch's victims. In an interview Monday, Geronimo said she paid Deutch's California law firm just shy of $2,000 to settle her $30,000 tax debt last July. By October, she was getting nasty notices from the IRS, saying that they were about to levy her assets. Geronimo said she called the IRS herself and was able to get on a payment plan, with no help from Deutch. After complaining to the Better Business Bureau, Geronimo got a partial refund from Deutch's office, but she says she's still out the better part of $1,000 and claims she got nothing in return. Brown, who is running for Governor of California, issued a press advisory earlier this year warning consumers to beware tax relief scams that charge up-front fees. If you think you've been victimized by Deutch or other tax relief services, you can contact Brown's office at 1-800-952-5225 or file a complaint online.
